What Whitepages Collects

Whitepages (whitepages.com) maintains one of the largest public records databases in the US. Their profiles include your name, phone number, home address, property records, family members, and associates. Whitepages is different from WhitePages Premium — the standard site is free to search but still exposes significant personal information.

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Find Your Whitepages Profile

Go to whitepages.com and search for your name and location. Click on your profile to get the full URL.

Step 2: Go to the Suppression Requests Page

Visit whitepages.com/suppression-requests.

Step 3: Step 1 — Paste Your Profile URL

Paste the full profile URL from Step 1.

Step 4: Step 2 — Enter Your Name

Enter your first and last name exactly as it appears on your profile.

Step 5: Step 3 — Verify Your Identity

Enter either your phone number OR your street address (one is sufficient).

Step 6: Step 4 — Review and Confirm

Review the information you've submitted.

Step 7: Step 5 — Submit

Click submit. No email verification or CAPTCHA required.

Your profile should be suppressed within 24-48 hours. You won't receive a confirmation email — the listing simply disappears from search results.

Important Notes

  • This opt-out covers your listing from appearing in name-based searches on Whitepages
  • It does NOT remove public records or government data that Whitepages aggregates from
  • Your data may repopulate when new public records are compiled
  • The suppression tool covers CCPA opt-out of sale/sharing of your data
  • If the automated form fails, Whitepages may request ID verification — this is rare
