Data collected: name, address, phone, relatives, property. Last verified: Sat Mar 28 2026 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

What Whitepages Collects

Whitepages aggregates public records, property records, voter registrations, and phone databases to build detailed personal profiles. It's one of the oldest people search sites and maintains deep data on U.S. residents going back years.

What Data They Have on You

  • 📧 Email addresses
  • 📱 Phone numbers (landline and mobile)
  • 🏠 Home address (current and former)
  • 👤 Name, aliases, and maiden names
  • 🔗 Relatives and associates
  • 🏡 Property ownership records
  • 📍 Location data and carrier details

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Find Your Profile

Go to whitepages.com and search for your name + city or state. Click on your matching result to open your profile.

Step 2: Copy Your Profile URL

Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar. You'll need this exact link for the opt-out tool.

Step 3: Navigate to the Opt-Out Page

Go to the Whitepages privacy rights request page: Whitepages Opt-Out →

Step 4: Submit Your Request

  1. Paste your profile URL
  2. Enter your phone number (Whitepages uses this to verify your identity)
  3. Agree to the Terms of Service
  4. Click Submit

Step 5: Wait for Processing

Whitepages processes opt-out requests within up to 15 days. Your profile should disappear from search results after that window.

⏱️ Time required: ~10 minutes

Important Notes

  • ⚠️ Your data WILL repopulate. Plan to re-check every 90 days.
  • The old URL (/opt_out/new) no longer works — use the updated privacy/consumer-rights link above.
  • Whitepages may require phone verification — this is used only to confirm your identity.
  • If the automated tool doesn't work, try the alternative: email privacyrequest@whitepages.com or use the webform.
  • Removal is a courtesy under their policy, not a legal obligation — but they are CCPA-compliant.
