What USSearch Collects
USSearch is a people search and background check site that is part of the PeopleConnect network — the same parent company behind TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and Intelius. It displays personal information including your name, phone number, address, email address, relatives, criminal records, mugshots, property records, and vehicle information. USSearch is known for aggressive data collection and deep public records integration. Like its sibling sites, USSearch draws from a massive compiled database of public records. The site blocks automated access with Cloudflare protection, but the opt-out process works through PeopleConnect's centralized suppression system.
How to Remove Yourself
Step 1: Go to the Intelius Privacy Center
Navigate to https://www.intelius.com/privacy-center/ — the shared suppression center for all PeopleConnect brands including USSearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, and Instant Checkmate.
Step 2: Begin the Suppression Request
Click "Begin Suppression Request" or the equivalent opt-out form link. You will need to provide your email address and full legal name.
Step 3: Verify Your Email
Intelius will send a verification email with a unique link that expires in 15 minutes. Click the link promptly to proceed with your suppression request.
Step 4: Complete Identity Verification
After clicking the email link, provide your full legal name and date of birth to confirm your identity. A phone-based identity verification code may also be required.
Step 5: Confirm and Submit
Review your information and submit the suppression form. Your data will be suppressed from USSearch and all PeopleConnect-affiliated sites.
Important Notes
- USSearch is part of PeopleConnect — the Intelius suppression center covers USSearch, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and Intelius simultaneously.
- Email link expires in 15 minutes — complete the verification promptly.
- Multiple records may require separate suppression requests — if you have multiple entries, repeat the process for each.
- Removal takes 7–14 days — unlike some brokers that process within 24 hours, USSearch suppression takes longer.
- Data repopulates every 90 days — PeopleConnect continuously re-collects from public sources.
- Cloudflare protection on USSearch blocks automated access — use the Intelius suppression center instead of trying to opt out through USSearch directly.
