How to Remove Yourself from ThatsThem

Data collected: name, email address, phone number, IP address, physical address, device information, browser fingerprints. Last verified: Mon Mar 30 2026 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

What ThatsThem Collects

ThatsThem is a people search and data broker that collects and displays personal information including your name, email address, phone number, IP address, physical address, device information, and browser fingerprints. Unlike traditional people search brokers that rely primarily on public records, ThatsThem also collects IP addresses and device/fingerprinting data, meaning they have technical identifiers that can link your online activity to your identity. They offer free basic searches and generate revenue from advertising and data licensing.

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Go to the ThatsThem Opt-Out Page

Navigate to https://thatsthem.com/optout — ThatsThem's direct opt-out page. The URL works and is functional.

Step 2: Fill Out the Opt-Out Form

Complete the form with the following information:

  • Full name (required)
  • Email address (required)
  • Phone number (required)
  • Street address (required)
  • City (required)
  • State (select from dropdown)
  • ZIP code (required)

Complete the reCAPTCHA verification.

Step 3: Submit the Form

Click Submit. ThatsThem states that your data will be removed from their search results.

Step 4: Wait for De-Indexing

Note that ThatsThem explicitly states the removal applies to their search results only. Search engine de-indexing (removing cached pages from Google/Bing) is separate and may take 5–7 days outside of ThatsThem's control.

Important Notes

  • reCAPTCHA required — the form is protected against automated abuse.
  • Extensive personal information required to process the opt-out — you must provide name, email, phone, and full address.
  • Search engine de-indexing is separate — even after ThatsThem removes you, cached pages may persist in Google for 5–7 days. Use Google Search Console to request removal.
  • Data may repopulate on ThatsThem if they re-collect your information. Re-submit periodically.
  • Other brokers may still have your data — thatsThem's opt-out only covers thatsThem.com, not other data broker sites.
