What PeopleFinder Collects

PeopleFinder aggregates public records, property databases, criminal records, and commercial data to create detailed personal profiles. Despite its generic name, it's a legitimate people search broker that exposes your address history, relatives, and criminal records to anyone with an internet connection.

What Data They Have on You

• 📱 Phone numbers
• 🏠 Home address (current and former)
• 👤 Full name, maiden name, and aliases
• 🔗 Relatives and associates

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Go to the Opt-Out Page

PeopleFinder is powered by Intelius / PeopleConnect. The direct peoplefinder.com opt-out URL returns a 404. Instead, use the PeopleConnect Suppression Center:

Step 2: Email Verification

1. Enter your email address
2. Check your inbox for a verification email from PeopleConnect
3. Click the link to confirm your email

Step 3: Complete the Suppression Form

After email verification:

1. Enter your full name
2. Enter your date of birth
3. Submit the form

Step 4: Wait for Processing

Suppression takes up to 7 days. Your profile will be hidden from name-based searches across all PeopleConnect brands.

Important Notes

• ⚠️ Your data WILL repopulate. Plan to repeat every 90 days.
• The direct peoplefinder.com/opt-out URL does NOT work — it returns a 404. Use the PeopleConnect link above.
• Suppression ≠ deletion. Your data remains in PeopleConnect's database; it just won't appear in name searches. The underlying public records that sourced the data are not affected.
• One suppression covers all PeopleConnect brands: Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, PeopleFinder, and USSearch.
• If you have multiple records (different cities, old addresses), each may need a separate suppression request.
