PeekYou is a people search and social media username lookup service that aggregates information about individuals from across the internet. It displays your name, online usernames, social media profiles, blog posts, news articles, forum posts, and sometimes phone numbers or addresses. PeekYou is distinctive among people search brokers because it specifically focuses on linking real names to online usernames — useful for anyone trying to connect your anonymous online activity to your real identity. It indexes social media, forums, blogs, and other web sources to build a comprehensive picture of your online presence.
How to Remove Yourself
Step 1: Search for Your PeekYou Profile
Go to peekyou.com and search for your name to find your specific profile. Note your city and state as shown on your profile — you will need this for the removal form.
Step 2: Navigate to the Footer Do Not Sell Link
PeekYou is a Single Page Application (SPA) — direct deep links to sub-pages redirect to the homepage. Instead, go to peekyou.com, scroll down to the footer, and click "Do Not Sell My Personal Information".
Step 3: Fill Out the Removal Form
On the form page, provide:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your city and state (from your profile search in Step 1)
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification
- Check all four consent boxes
Submit the form.
Step 4: Verify via Email
PeekYou will send a verification email. Click the link in the email to confirm your identity and authorize the removal. Processing time is approximately 48 hours after email confirmation.
Important Notes
- PeekYou is a SPA — direct URLs to removal pages redirect to the homepage. Manual navigation through the footer is required.
- You must search for your profile first to identify your record and get your city/state.
- Four consent boxes must ALL be checked — the submit button may not activate without all boxes checked.
- Data repopulates when PeekYou re-indexes public sources. Re-submit periodically.
- Email verification is required — no exceptions.
