What MyLife Collects
MyLife is a people search and reputation platform that displays personal information including your name, age, current and previous addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives, criminal records, and social media links. MyLife also aggregates and displays personal reviews — both self-written and attributed — that can significantly impact your online reputation. MyLife has a history of aggressive marketing tactics and has faced regulatory scrutiny for its data collection and people search practices. The site prominently features "reputation scores" and encourages users to create paid accounts to manage their online presence.
How to Remove Yourself
Step 1: Search for Your MyLife Profile
Go to mylife.com and search for your name to find your profile URL. Note the URL of your specific record — you will need it for the removal request. This step is required because MyLife's removal process is tied to your specific profile URL.
Step 2: Attempt the Official CCPA Opt-Out Page
Navigate to https://www.mylife.com/ccpa/index.pubview — the official CCPA opt-out page. Note: This URL returned a 404 (Not Found) as of 2026-03-31. Multiple current guides still reference this URL but it is no longer functional.
Step 3: Email MyLife Privacy Team
Since the web form is broken, email privacy@mylife.com with:
- Your full name
- Your profile URL (the specific URL of your MyLife record)
- A clear request for CCPA deletion / data removal
Step 4: Call MyLife (Last Resort)
If email fails, call 1-888-704-1900. Note: phone support may charge a fee for assistance — avoid if possible.
Step 5: Verify Your Email
MyLife requires email verification per their privacy policy. Check your inbox for any follow-up emails and complete the required verification steps.
Important Notes
- The CCPA opt-out URL is DEAD — it returns HTTP 404 as of 2026-03-31. This is a known broken link that multiple privacy services still reference incorrectly.
- Email is the primary working method — send your full name + profile URL to privacy@mylife.com.
- Data repopulates every 90 days — MyLife continuously refreshes from public sources. Re-submit every 2–3 months.
- Phone support may charge fees — use email as the primary method.
- MyLife is particularly aggressive about pushing paid subscription services — do not be pressured into paying for "reputation management."
- Consider also removing your data from Intelius, BeenVerified, Radaris, and Spokeo since MyLife shares data with other brokers.
