How to Remove Yourself from Glassdoor

Data collected: name, email (if logged in), job title, employer name, salary data (anonymized), company reviews, profile visibility settings. Last verified: Mon Mar 30 2026 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

What Glassdoor Collects

Glassdoor is a professional community and job review platform where current and former employees anonymously review companies and share salary information. It collects your name and email (if you have an account), job title, employer name, salary data, and any reviews or content you have posted. Glassdoor is primarily used for job hunting and company research — it does not function as a traditional people search broker. However, if you have a profile or have posted reviews, your professional identity and opinions may be publicly associated with your name.

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Go to the Glassdoor Do Not Sell Page

Navigate directly to https://www.glassdoor.com/about/doNotSell.htm — Glassdoor's CCPA "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out page.

Step 2: Opt Out of Data Sale/Sharing

On the page:

  1. Check the single checkbox labeled "I would like to opt out of the sale or sharing of my personal information by Glassdoor"
  2. Click the "Opt Out" button

Your opt-out takes effect immediately — this is a settings change, not a form submission requiring processing time.

Step 3: Review Your Public Profile Settings

After opting out, also review your profile visibility settings at https://www.linkedin.com/public-profile/settings if you have a linked Glassdoor account. Note that opting out of data sale does not automatically remove reviews or employer associations.

Step 4: If You Have a Glassdoor Account

If you have a Glassdoor account and want full removal:

  • Delete individual reviews you have posted
  • Delete your profile through account settings
  • Note: Glassdoor states "we do not currently offer a method to reverse this choice" (the opt-out)

Important Notes

  • This opt-out only stops data sale/sharing with affiliates and ad partners — it does NOT remove your profile, reviews, or employer associations from Glassdoor.
  • The opt-out is irreversible per Glassdoor's own statement — they do not currently offer a way to reverse it.
  • If you connected your Glassdoor account to Indeed, the opt-out does not affect the Indeed data sync — you must manage that separately.
  • Glassdoor responds to Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.
  • To actually remove reviews or a profile, you must use the in-app or in-account deletion options — there is no separate opt-out URL for profile removal.
  • This is a CCPA "Do Not Sell" mechanism — it primarily benefits California residents but Glassdoor honors it broadly.
