What CyberBackgroundChecks Collects

CyberBackgroundChecks is a people search and background check site that aggregates public records to display personal information including your name, current and previous addresses, date of birth, criminal records, mugshots, sex offender status, court records, and prior arrests. It operates similarly to other people search sites, sourcing data from public government databases and third-party data providers. Anyone can search for your criminal history, address history, or personal details without any legitimate need or oversight.

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Go to the CyberBackgroundChecks Removal Page

Navigate directly to https://www.cyberbackgroundchecks.com/removal to access their record suppression form.

Step 2: Submit the Initial Form

Fill out the first form with your first name, last name, and email address. Complete the reCAPTCHA verification. Click Submit — this will send a verification email to the address you provided.

Step 3: Click the Email Verification Link

Open the email from CyberBackgroundChecks and click the verification link. Note: the email link expires in 24 hours — complete the next step before it expires.

Step 4: Complete the Record Suppression Form

After clicking the email link, you will be directed to the second step of the removal process. Fill out the Record Suppression Form with:

  • Your full legal name (pre-filled from step 1)
  • Your email address (pre-filled)
  • Date of birth
  • City and state where you reside
  • Phone number (optional)

Important Notes

  • Use a disposable/secondary email for the opt-out process — Optery and other privacy services recommend this to avoid your primary email being associated with your opt-out request.
  • The email verification link expires in 24 hours — complete the process promptly.
  • Data may repopulate if CyberBackgroundChecks re-collects your information from public sources.
  • Cloudflare protection on the site may block automated access, but the URL is confirmed working via third-party verification services.
  • This site is similar to other people search brokers — consider also removing your data from Instant Checkmate, TruthFinder, BeenVerified, and Intelius for comprehensive coverage.
