What CoreLogic Collects
CoreLogic (recently rebranded as Cotality) is one of the largest property and financial data providers in the world, primarily serving B2B clients in banking, insurance, real estate, and government. They maintain comprehensive databases of property records, mortgage data, tax assessments, deed information, property value estimates, and loan performance data. CoreLogic operates primarily as a B2B data supplier — it does not offer a consumer-facing people search the way sites like Spokeo or BeenVerified do. Consumer exposure is more limited but can include property-related personal data surfaced through real estate industry partners.
How to Remove Yourself
Step 1: Go to the CoreLogic CCPA Privacy Page
Navigate to https://www.corelogic.com/ccpa — this is the primary consumer privacy request page for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Step 2: Submit a CCPA Privacy Request
CoreLogic offers several methods:
- Online form: Complete the form with your name, email, phone, and address for identity verification
- Phone: Call 1-800-634-4149 to submit a request by phone
Step 3: Verify Your Identity
CoreLogic requires identity verification before processing any consumer data request. Provide accurate matching information (name, phone, address) to avoid delays.
Step 4: Await Processing
Processing time is reported as 10–30 days based on third-party sources. CoreLogic will respond to confirm when your request has been processed.
Important Notes
- California residents have the most robust rights under CCPA — other state residents have limited options.
- The B2B Client Privacy Form at cotality.com/legal/b2b-client-privacy-form requires a CoreLogic Account Number and is not accessible to general consumers.
- CoreLogic is primarily a B2B data provider — consumer-facing data exposure is generally limited to property-related records that are already public.
- Data does not repopulate once properly removed from CoreLogic's consumer databases.
- Non-California residents have very limited opt-out options and may need to rely on state-specific privacy laws or general consumer rights requests.
- CoreLogic also has a Data Subject Request (DSR) process available via their privacy page for applicable jurisdictions.
