How to Remove Yourself from ClustrMaps

Data collected: visitor geographic data, website visit patterns, IP address (transient), location approximations. Last verified: Mon Mar 30 2026 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

What ClustrMaps Collects

ClustrMaps is primarily a geographic visitor tracker — website owners install it to see where their visitors come from on a map visualization. It does not function as a traditional people search broker. ClustrMaps collects geographic approximations of website visitors, IP addresses (transient), and website visit patterns. The people search aspect is secondary — ClustrMaps maintains public-facing profile pages for some individuals based on geographic data it has collected. It is a relatively lightweight data aggregator compared to full people search sites.

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Go to the ClustrMaps Opt-Out Page

Navigate directly to https://clustrmaps.com/bl/opt-out. Note: the URL /optout returns a 404 — the correct path is /bl/opt-out.

Step 2: Enter Your Email Address

Fill in your email address and click "Next Step" to proceed with the removal process. ClustrMaps uses email as the primary verification method for opt-out requests.

Step 3: Check Your Email for Confirmation

ClustrMaps may send a confirmation email or further instructions to the address you provided. Follow any links or complete any required verification steps.

Step 4: Complete the Removal

Follow the email instructions to finalize your removal from ClustrMaps. For additional removal options, visit the footer links under "US Persons" (links /pp/a through /pp/z) which may contain individual profile pages.

Important Notes

  • Correct URL is /bl/opt-out — the base /optout URL returns 404.
  • ClustrMaps also has a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link on their site.
  • The people search aspect of ClustrMaps is secondary to its primary function as a website visitor analytics tool.
  • If you are a website operator with ClustrMaps installed on your site, removing yourself from ClustrMaps does not remove you from your own website's analytics — only from ClustrMaps' own database.
  • Email fallback: support@clustrmaps.com for any issues with the opt-out form.
