Data collected: name, work email, job title, company name, company size, company industry, role seniority, technology stack, professional social profiles. Last verified: Mon Mar 30 2026 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

What Clearbit Collects

Clearbit is a B2B data enrichment and sales intelligence platform now owned by HubSpot. They collect professional data including your name, work email, job title, company name, company size, company industry, role seniority, technology stack used by your company, and professional social profiles. Clearbit is used by sales and marketing teams for lead scoring, enrichment, and outbound prospecting. Their data is primarily work/professional focused — they explicitly state they take reasonable steps to ensure personal email addresses and home addresses are NOT linked to the professional data they sell. Clearbit is distinct from consumer data brokers because their database is almost entirely professional/work-related, not personal.

How to Remove Yourself

Step 1: Go to Clearbit's CCPA Opt-Out Page

Navigate to https://clearbit.com/ccpa-opt-out — Clearbit's official CCPA opt-out page. Note: there have been reports that the web form may have URL redirect issues — if so, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Try the Preferences Page

Try navigating to https://preferences.clearbit.com — Clearbit's preferences page. If this redirects to the root domain, the web form is not currently functional and you should proceed to email.

Step 3: Email Clearbit for Data Removal

Send an email to privacy@clearbit.com with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • Your postal address

Clearbit may request additional information to verify your identity before processing your removal.

Step 4: Specify Nevada Do Not Sell Rights (if applicable)

If you are a Nevada resident, explicitly invoke your "Do Not Sell Covered Information" rights in your email. Nevada SB 220 provides additional consumer data rights beyond federal law.

Alternative: Call Clearbit

Call 1-866-241-4820 (toll-free) to submit a removal request by phone.

Important Notes

  • The web form may not work — the preferences.clearbit.com URL appears to redirect to root. Email is the primary working method.
  • Clearbit is B2B/professional data — they explicitly note they take steps to ensure personal home addresses and personal emails are NOT linked to the professional data they sell.
  • Data may repopulate — Clearbit continuously enriches from public sources. Re-submit if your data reappears.
  • No direct name-based opt-out — Clearbit's primary verification is email-based for professionals in their database.
  • Clearbit is now owned by HubSpot — HubSpot's privacy policies may apply to data sharing going forward.
  • Consider also removing your data from Apollo, RocketReach, Lusha, and ZoomInfo for comprehensive B2B coverage.
