Their reports include your name, phone numbers, home addresses, email addresses, relatives, criminal records, and property ownership. BeenVerified is one of the most well-known background check sites and is frequently used by employers, landlords, and individuals conducting personal investigations.
How to Remove Yourself
Step 1: Go to the BeenVerified Opt-Out Page
Visit beenverified.com/app/optout/search.
Step 2: Search for Your Record
Enter your first name, last name, and select the state you currently live in. Click search.
Step 3: Find Your Profile
Browse the results and click on the record that matches your information.
Step 4: Submit Your Opt-Out
You'll be asked to confirm you're the person listed and provide your email address.
Step 5: Verify via Email
BeenVerified will send a confirmation email. Click the verification link to complete the removal process.
Step 6: Wait for Removal
Your listing should be removed within 24 hours of email verification.
Important Notes
- If you have multiple listings under different variations of your name, submit a separate request for each
- BeenVerified may retain some information for legal compliance purposes
- Email verification is required — use a valid email address you have access to
