BeenVerified aggregates public records, criminal databases, property records, and commercial data sources to create detailed personal profiles. It's commonly used for background checks, tenant screening, and dating safety searches — meaning your data is available to strangers making queries about you.

How to Remove Yourself
Step 1: Find Your Profile
Go to beenverified.com and search for your first and last name along with your state or city.
Step 2: Navigate to the Opt-Out Page

Step 3: Enter Your Information
- Enter your first and last name
- Select your state
- Complete the CAPTCHA or email verification if prompted
Step 4: Find and Select Your Record
Locate your profile from the search results and select it for removal.
Step 5: Verify via Email
Check your inbox for a verification email from BeenVerified. Click the confirmation link to finalize the removal.
Step 6: Confirm Removal
After email verification, you should see a confirmation. Removal typically completes within 24 hours.

Important Notes
- ⚠️ Your data WILL repopulate. BeenVerified continuously refreshes from public records. Repeat every 90 days.
- If you have a common name, make sure you're selecting your specific profile — multiple people may share your name.
- Multiple records require separate opt-out requests. If your data appears under multiple profiles, repeat the process for each one.
- If you have trouble with the automated form, email privacy@beenverified.com with your removal request.
